CHARACTER ENTRY ENDS
AUGUST 31, 2012=====
RULES
=====
1. The main thing that will be judged is whether you followed the instructions mentioned below. In sum: no overpowered characters.
2. Character fairness will be judged by *AquaWaters, =Dygee, and ~BlitzBolt. Each have their own diverse expectations of fairness, so no bias will be used in the selection of the participants for the contest.
3. This template must be uploadable on DA, following DA rules and regulations.
===========
INSTRUCTIONS - Should be pretty straight-forward, but you never know!
===========
Full Body Picture: Please make it as detailed as possible and in colour. Poses will not be judged. While artistic ability is not the factor of judgement, it does influence how well you can convey your character's design. Dolls, stickmen, or the use of another artist's drawing of your OC is allowed. So long as they're uploadable by DA standards.
Weapon/Accessories: A weapon must be indicated, otherwise the judges will assume they fight with their fists. Accessories, or detailed weapons, should be further explained in the artist comment.
Race: Be as creative as you want.
Class: Should indicate whether they are a fighter (uses weapons as their main attack), or mage (uses magic as their main attack). Consult the judges by commenting or noting should you have another class in mind, but we'll mainly enforce the fighter/mage category.
Elements: To maintain fairness, elemental alignments should be either-or. Therefore, you CANNOT have fire and Water as an element. However, you can have Water, Air, and psychic.
Status: DO NOT REPLICATE STATUS BARS. We have allowed 10 status bars there - place only those 10 under the categories:
Strength: Attack power
Defense: How well your OC can take hits
Agility: How fast your character is; how well they can dodge
Dexterity: Skill in performing tasks, especially with the use of their hands
Intelligence: OC's IQ - arguably a factor in the success rate of spells
Abilities: The main area of evaluation for fairness. All abilities should be fair – do not overpower your OC. You can elaborate the abilities in the artist comments. You can choose to have one, two, or three abilities.
Strengths and weaknesses: The secondary area evaluated for fairness. The character should have a fair share of strengths and weaknesses – that is, you cannot say that OC is smart, strong, mastery of magic, and sword master but he’s weak to spiders, pudding, cats, and body odor.

If you have any questions, you can ask them as a comment, or note one of the judges: *
AquaWaters, =
Dygee, or ~
BlitzBolt.

HAPPY OC-MAKING.
Other examples!

Any limitations you could give me would be great; I've got lots of characters and need to narrow it down. xP
Fan OCs are acceptable, but it would be preferred if they were not heavily based on the fandom they come from. For instance, I'll use the ever-popular Naruto. A simple ninja using ninjetsu is common enough; however, if your character has one of the 9 sealed demons, based off one of the characters or off a certain plotpoint in which the viewers must know about Naruto... than you run into the possibility of running into confused viewers. Why? Because there are people who might not know about the fandom.
Any OC's with high-levels of mary-sue tendencies should be avoided too. You can see if they qualify as high-, medium-, or low-levels here: [link]
The OC's don't have to be combat ready either - hell, half of Aqua's OCs in this tournament don't even fight in their original stories. And they don't need to be badass, they can be kids or maids or something.
While the viewers might perfer ladies more, Aqua enjoys drawing men. ; ) But the winners are decided by the audience are pretty much diverse people like yourself. : )
I hope this helps? If you need more limitations or decisions, you can always ask your friends to see which one they'd vote for most. ; ) Best of luck! : ) And I can't wait to see who you choose, should you decide to enter this contest!
